Sonya Sharma

Sonya Sharma is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Theology and Religion at Durham University, UK. Central to her work is a feminist perspective that facilitates her examination of how religion is lived at the intersections of class, race, gender and sexuality.  She completed her Doctorate in Women’s Studies at the University of Lancaster, UK. Sonya co-edited Women and Religion in the West: Challenging Secularization with Kristin Aune and Giselle Vincett (Ashgate 2008).
